Exceptional Late WWII Nazi 98K Bolt Action Rifle
This is an excellent example of a very late WWII production K98 rifle. This rifle was manufactured at the BRNO factory late in WWII while under control by the Nazis. The top of the receiver is marked "dot" which is the wartime code for the BRNO factory in Czechoslovakia over an "eagle/63" proof and "1944" for the year of manufacture. The right side of the receiver is marked with the "Eagle 63" Waffenamt acceptance proof and the left side is marked with the serial number and the Nazi firing proof. The side wall is marked "Mod 98". The left rear portion of the barrel is also marked with the Nazi firing proof and the top has a shield with "dot/13" inside followed by "KN" and an "eagle/63" proof. Hooded front sight and rear tangent sight graduated to 200 meters. The rifle has the stamped barrel bands secured with screws, stamped trigger guard and milled floor plate. The rifle is mounted with a laminated stock and handguard with a cupped buttplate and leather sling. The stock is absent of any markings and the bolt is matching. Appears unissued.
