Manufactured in 1937. The top of the barrel has the one line Hartford address and the left barrel side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The left side of the frame has the standard two line, three patent dates marking with a Rampant Colt. The left side of the trigger guard is marked with the number "4" above the Colt verified factory proof. Matching serial number on the underside of the frame and on the right side of the gripstraps under the grip. The rear face of the cylinder carries the matching last two digits of the serial number "98." The revolver has matching assembly number "611" on the loading gate and on the back of the frame. Blue finish with casehardened frame and polished hammer sides. The grips are checkered with a Rampant Colt inside an oval at the top and the grips are numbered to the gun.

Condition: Excellent plus. The revolver retains 99% original blue finish and case colors with a few mild handling marks and barely noticeable traces of a cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
