This fine Italian made shotgun features a relief engraved frame with a branch and leaf motif with a matte background. The side plates are polished and feature a duck in flight on each side with the same branch and leaf engraving accenting the corners. The bottom of the frame has a polished circle and also has an engraved duck in flight. There is a single steel bead sight on the matte vent rib and the upper left side is marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli". The chambers measure 3 inches, chokes gauge at cylinder/a loose cylinder, with ejectors. There is an oval panel on the trigger guard with the same relief engraving design. Single trigger, tang mounted safety, cocking indicators, blue barrels and coin finished remaining parts. Mounted with an extra fancy, nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, checkered bare butt and a gold inlaid "GC" near the toe. The forearm knuckle has the same relief engraving design as well as a gold relief "Guy Coheleach" and the release button is partially gold plated with a gold crown and floral vine motif inset above it. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches, drop at comb is 1 1/2 inches, drop at heel 1 5/8 inches, cast off 5/8 inch, toe out 1 inch. Complete with a leather takedown hard case with leather straps, corner protectors and handle. The lining is red velvet and there is a leather "a&s/abbiatico/&/salvinelli/gardone valtrompia (brescia) Italia" marked label affixed to the inside of the lid. In the case is a nickel oiler, container and snap caps, a leather wrapped recoil pad and a three piece walnut cleaning rod.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 98% original blue finish with a few minor scratches and some wear on the lower barrel under the forearm from normal usage and some minor spotting on the upper left side. The remaining parts retain 98% original coin finish with some thinning and discoloration on the lower tang. The wood is also excellent with only a couple very light pressure dents and handling marks, with sharp checkering. The engraving remains crisp. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some corner wear, and some interior contact wear and stains, as well as a small torn area caused by the front of the frame.
