Colt Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1960. The revolver is complete with a Colt factory letter that states it was shipped to H. Cook Sporting Goods in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 19, 1960. The letter lists the revolver caliber as .45/c and the finish as blue. The type of stocks are not listed. The revolver has the Colt commercial blue finish on the barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and back strap. The frame and loading gate are color casehardened with vivid case colors. The hammer has a blued back and polished sides. The two-piece black hard rubber stocks are checkered and have the Rampant Colt trademark in an oval at the top of each stock. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped: "COLT'S PT. F,A, MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." in one line. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped: "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" in one line. The left side of the frame is roll-stamped with the Colt "Three-date/Two-Line" patent markings followed by the Rampant Colt trademark. The loading gate is stamped with the assembly number "213". The left front trigger guard bow is stamped with the Colt "Triangle/VP" proof mark and a "P" is stamped on the left rear trigger guard bow. The serial number, "32254 SA" is stamped on the bottom of the frame. The revolver is complete with the original black carton with "COLT in gold letters on the lid. The serial number, "32254" is written in red grease pencil of the bottom of the carton. The left end of the carton has a gold label with black lettering that describes the model, caliber and barrel length, The carton has a green interior with "Colt Single Action Army" and the Rampant Colt in gold on the inside of the lid. The carton contains: (1) "SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS" pamphlet, (2) "HANDLING THE HANDGUN" pamphlet and (3) a parts list/instruction sheet entitled: "SINGLE ACTION/ARM/REVOLVER/ Loading Firing Correct Care".

Condition: Near new in original box. The revolver retains 99% plus of the original blue and vivid casehardened finish with no visible handling or firing wear. There are no turn lines on the cylinder. The grips are in perfect condition. The carton is excellent. The carton interior and the pamphlets are also in nearly new condition. This is an outstanding example of a 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver in new condition with the original carton.
