Exceptional Colt Model 1902 Military Semi-Automatic Pistol
This is an excellent original example of a commercially sold Colt Military Model 1902 semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in late 1920. The pistol has the square butt, slide lock on the left side of the frame, lanyard swivel and eight-round blue magazine (marked "MIL. / COLT / 38 CAL." on the bottom), that distinguish it from the Colt Model 1902 "Sporting" pistol. Features rear slide serrations and blue barrel with polished chamber and muzzle. Left side of the slide is marked with the two block marking "PATENTED / APR. 20, 1897, SEPT. 9, 1902" and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame and the right side of the slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" ahead of the ejection port. The left upper front of the trigger guard bow is stamped with a "1" over the Colt "VP/triangle" proofmark and "48" on the opposite. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in a banner at the top and the Rampant Colt in a circle in the center.

Mechanically excellent. An exceptionally nice Colt Model 1902 Military pistol that would be very difficult to improve on.
