Manufactured in 1913, the last year of production for the Bisley. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line Hartford address and "(BISLEY MODEL) / COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40" on left, with the two line, three patent date marking on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof, with "1" at the rear. The right side trigger guard shoulder is non-factory marked "-12". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap, with the matching assembly number "395" marked on the right rear of the frame and on the loading gate. The partial serial number "6438" is scratched into the inside of the right grip panel. Casehardened hammer and frame, with blue remaining parts, standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original blue finish with some slight muzzle and high edge wear, some thinning on the grip straps and rotating scratches on the cylinder. The hammer and frame retain 95% of the bright original case colors with normal cycling scratches on the hammer sides and some fading on the top strap. The grips are also excellent with some wear on the lower right edge, light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
