Excellent as issued with most of the crisp armory bright polish finish overall. The stock is also excellent with a nice original medium brown color overall, showing some minor handling marks in some areas, and crisp feathered look overall. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. An outstanding Colt 1861 Special rifle.
