This choice Cased Pair of Percussion Belt Pistols have 3.25", .50 caliber steel octagon barrels with Birmingham proof marks and captive ramrods mounted on an under mounted rib. Each Pistol has a side mounted steel belt hook. All steel parts are engraved and case hardened, retaining about 95-98% original fire blue and case hardened finish. Side mounted percussion hammers. Stocks are in excellent to near factory new condition with exceptional micro checkering and each has a silver oval wrist escutcheon. These two Pistols are 8.5" overall length and in good working order. Their original period wooden box measures 13.5” wide x 8” deep x 2.25” high. It has brass corners, reinforcing stripes, a single swing hook in the front, and a decorative brass escutcheon in the center of the lid. The interior of the box has been professionally restored, being re-lined in the correct English green baize fabric. Accessories include, bullet mold, pewter oil bottle, two "ELEYS" cap tins with caps, an additional ramrod with cleaning jag, plus a ball puller, balls, wads, and a wonderful three compartment "SYKES" powder flask.
