Exceptional Brazilian Mauser Model 1935 Bolt Action Rifle with Matching Numbered Bayonet
This is an unissued example of one of the last contract rifles manufactured by the Mauser factory before WWII. These rifles were manufactured under contract for the Government of Brazil and are patterned after the WWI Gewehr rifles except they have the improved tangent rear sight, wide middle barrel band and the wooden handguard extends to the receiver ring. The top of the receiver is marked with the large Brazilian crest, the right side is marked "MOD. 1935" and the left side receiver wall is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G.OBERNDORF A/N." It has the traditional prewar Crown over "B", "U", " C" and "N" proofs and the left side of the receiver ring and the small Mauser banner on the top rear of the receiver. Some of the small components are marked with the partial serial number "32" as well as the complete number on the bolt handle and a crown / "B" and "U" proofmark. The front sight is a dovetailed raised ramp inverted "v" and the rear tangent sight is graduated to 2,000 meters and the bolt assembly and buttplate are finished bright. Complete with matching bayonet, scabbard, a leather sling, cross hatch leather sling, muzzle/front sight cover and the original test target numbered to the gun.
BBL: 30 inch round
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 7 mm Mauser
