Excellent World War II U.S. Colt Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol Rig with Boyt Holster Web Belt Double Magazine Pouch and Spare Magazines

This is an exceptional, like new, example of a late WWII manufactured Colt Model 1911A1 pistol manufactured in 1944. This example has the late war, dark parkerized finish with the correct non-serial numbered slide with the two line/two block Colt factory address and 1897-1913 patent dates, with the Rampant Colt logo in the center. The top of the slide in front of the rear sight and left side of the frame are both stamped with the single "P" proof. The left side of the frame is marked with the "G.H.D" inspection stamp. The left front edge of the trigger guard is stamped with a "K" sub-inspector proof over the Colt "VP" verified proof. The right side of the frame is stamped with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number, with "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" towards the front. It has the correct late war features such as the checkered slide stop and thumb safety, checkered narrow hammer spur, and serrated arched mainspring housing. The blue barrel is marked on the right side "Colt 45 AUTO" with a single "P" proof on the lug. It has the standard Coltwood brown plastic grips with large reinforcing rings, reinforcing webs on the backside and with a single "K" mold letter. This pistol is complete with three blued magazines (two unmarked and one marked with a single "C-R"), a "42" dated Boyt leather holster, a 1919 dated Mills double magazine pouch and a green web belt marked "S.E. CO. Inc./1943". Consignor notes state that this pistol was from the Hunter Von Leer collection and was reportedly issued to a coast watcher in California during WWII, however no authentication/documentation accompanies this pistol.

Excellent with 99% of the dark parkerized finish with only some very minor wear on the edges of the recoil spring housing of the slide. The barrel only shows minor blue wear on the top front edge of the exposed chamber area. The grips are also excellent. The holster is very good plus with nice clear markings with some scuffing on the front and back of the holster with some minor age cracking and loss of leather around the edges of the flap, with tight stitching. The magazine pouch and web belt are both very fine plus. Two of the magazines are excellent with one being very good. A nice high condition, all complete late WWII Colt Model 1911A1 pistol rig.
