This is an example of a 1st Variation P38 pistol with the "ac" code stamped on the left side of the trigger guard. The slide is marked "P.38" and "ac/41" followed by the serial number on the left side and the right side has the eagle firing proof and two "eagle/359" proofs. Most of the small parts are stamped with "eagle/359" proofs and the left side of the barrel lug has the bore dimension. The "P.38" marked magazine with an "eagle/359" proof on the spine is numbered to the gun. The ribbed grips are also numbered to the gun and have "eagle/359" proofs on the inside. The holster is stamped "cww" and dated 1941. There is an extra magazine which is numbered to another gun.

Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown. The grips are also excellent with a few very scattered mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks and overall tight stitching.
