Excellent World War II Nazi 1939 Dated Mauser Banner "Eagle/C" Police Luger Pistol with Matching Magazine and 1939 Dated Police Holster

This is an excellent example of an early 1939 dated Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with the scarce "Eagle/C" Police proof. These were manufactured in a very short production run with only 1,360 manufactured in early 1939 before Mauser switched to the standard "Eagle/L" Police proof. The top of the chamber is lightly stamped "1939" and the large Mauser Banner logo is on the front toggle. The scarce early "Eagle/C" Police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, with the commercial "Crown/U" proofmarks stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "1634w" is stamped on the front of the frame, "1634" stamped and the left side of the barrel extension, and underside of the barrel and the last two digits of the serial number "34" stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with one matching all blue police magazine marked "1/1634/w" on the base. It is complete with an black leather police holster marked "OTTO SINDEL/BERLIN/1939/Police Eagle proofmark on the back.

Manufucture: Mauser

BBL: 3 7/8 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger Auto
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut

Excellent plus. The pistol retains 99% of the all blue finish with some slight muzzle and edge wear. The grips are also excellent with minimal handling marks and very crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is also excellent with a nice shiny black finish showing some minor scuffs and tight stitching. A super example of a scarce "Eagle/C" Police Luger rig.
