Excellent World War I Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver
Manufactured from 1917 to 1925. The barrel is marked "COLT DA 45" on the left side, the top has the two line Hartford address/patent dates and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt and an eagle/S20 proof. Matching serial number on frame, crane and inside of each grip panel. Smooth walnut grips, with "U.S. / ARMY/ MODEL / 1917/ No / 146 / 736" and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original finish with some minor muzzle wear and light scratches on the barrel. Overall there is some light scattered spotting. With the exception of a minor hairline crack on the right heel, the grips are excellent with scattered minor dings and dents. Crisp clear markings. The action is excellent.
