Excellent Winchester Model 21 Skeet Grade Double Barrel 20 Gauge Shotgun
This is a solid example of a Skeet Grade Winchester Model 21 shotgun. The shotgun features 26" barrels with a red bead front and nickel bead mid sight on the concave solid matte rib, with 2 3/4" chambers, chokes marked "WS-1" and "WS-2" with ejectors. Winchester proof steel barrels and flats marked with Winchester oval proofs and the matching serial number. The rear of the left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER-20 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM.". The water table is marked with the three line patent marking and the three line Made in U.S.A. model and address marking is on the left side. The bottom receiver plate is marked "SKEET" directly ahead of the trigger guard. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted safety and mounted with a checkered walnut beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and checkered bare butt. Length of pull is 14". Complete with a canvas covered Browning case with leather end reinforcements, brass hardware, leather handle and brown felt lining.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 97% original blue finish with some minor wear at the muzzle and breech ends, the usual wear under the forearm and a few minor scratches and handling marks. The receiver shows relative 85% blue and high edge wear and the bottom plate has some wear, flaking and a number of scratches. The trigger guard retains 60% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the tang. The wood is also excellent with a few overall scattered minor scratches and dings, with very crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The mechanics are excellent.
