Excellent. The rifle retains approximately 97% of the original blue finish with some thinning on the magazine, front portion of the receiver and ahead of the hammer, and high edge wear. Some brown patina is forming on the receiver, as well as some minor streaks on the sides. The lever has a smooth silver gray patina with strong original case colors in protected areas. The hammer retains most of the original case colors and the buttplate shows strong faded case colors on the tang, otherwise a smooth mottled silver gray. The wood is also excellent virtually all of the original finish remaining and overall some scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are sharp and clear. The action is excellent.
