Manufactured in 1944. The left side of the slide is marked "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A .", the top is marked with a "P" ahead of the rear sight, the left side of the frame is marked with the "FJA" inspectors marking and "P" next to the magazine release. The right side of the frame is marked with the cross cannon cartouche behind the grip, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" ahead of that. The barrel lug is marked "P" on the left side and "F" on the right. Checkered stamped trigger, thumb safety and narrow hammer, serrated slide stop and arched mainspring housing with a lanyard ring on the butt and blue magazine marked "L" on top of the toe. Fitted with checkered Keyes fibre grips with reinforcing rings around the screws and marked with the five point star, with "K" in the center and the number "24" on the inside.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus original parkerized finish with some light pitting on the slide, some edge wear and some thinning on the front strap. The grips are also excellent with a couple of small chips around the upper left side screw and sharp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
