This is an excellent example of a late 1942 production Luger P.08 pistol that was produced at the end of regular Nazi Army production. These late Mauser production Lugers have acquired the collector term "Black Widow" based on them having the late war all salt blued finish which is very dark in color, with the late "P08" frame markings on the left side. This Luger has the "42" chamber date with the front toggle marked with "byf", the wartime code for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension has the "eagle/135" Waffenamt proofs along with the single eagle firing proof. It is numbered in the military fashion with the full serial number (2467) stamped on the front of the frame, the left side of the barrel extension and the underside of the barrel. With the last two digits of the serial number (67) located on all the various remaining small parts, except the magazines and grips, which are both unnumbered. It has standard sights and markings and is complete with two, late type four, blued magazines with "fxo/Eagle 37/P08" markings on the left side of the magazine body with the unnumbered black plastic base. This pistol is complete with black leather holster that is marked on the back "dla/42/WaA195" with a large P.08 marked in the upper right hand corner. It is complete with a WWII take down tool.
