Excellent WWII Nazi Berlin-Lubecker (duv44) K43 Sniper Rifle with ZF4 Scope and Mount
A nice example of a mid-WWII Berlin-Lubecker production "duv" code K43 rifle. The K43 was developed to provide a cost efficient weapon that would allow a sniper to take rapid follow-up shots. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with the left side of the receiver marked with the "eagle/ WaA214" acceptance proof, next to the serial number and "K.43 duv 44". Rough cast receiver, with single bolt guide, stamped action cover marked "WaA44" with sliding dust cover, type three bolt carrier with reinforcing web, hollow left-side mounted cocking knob with right side mounted hold open latch. The scope rail is positioned on the right side of the receiver and is fitted with an original WWII German mount marked with an "eagle/ WaA359" (Feinmechanische Werke/ Walther) acceptance proof with a very faint etched serial number on the front end of the mount. The scope is marked "Gw ZF4/ 32234/ddx" with a blue triangle behind that, with leather lens caps. The stock and hand guard are the correct wartime laminated versions with a double "eagle/ WaA214" Waffenamt proof on the right side of the buttstock below the sling slot with the serial number (8285) on the underside of the stock with an additional small "eagle/ WaA214" proof in the pistol grip area. Complete with an original leather sling, cleaning rod and one spare magazine.
BBL: 22 inch round
Stock: laminated
Gauge: 7.92 mm Mauser

The scope and mount retain 98% of their blue/phosphate finish overall with clear markings and slightly hazy optics. The strap for the leather lens caps has broken due to age. The stock and hand guard are both in very fine condition showing only minor handling marks, nicks and light pressure dents overall from handling over the years with good clear proofs. Mechanically excellent.
