This is a very nice example of a 1941 Mauser luger pistol. The top of the chamber is dated "41" with the wartime code of "byf" marked on the front toggle. There is a double "Eagle/655" Waffenamt proof on the left side of the barrel extension next to a single "eagle/swastika" firing proof, which is also located on the right side of the barrel. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered grips, which has a single "eagle 135" proof on the back sides and a standard type three Army magazine with the blue magazine body marked on the side with "122/eagle 37/P08" markings with the aluminum base that is marked "8177d".
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 6429q
Condition: Excellent with 97% plus of the original blue finish with wear on the edges and high spots, with some light thinning on the center section of the barrel, the left side of the front sight base, front edges of the frame rails, with slightly more thinning on the stock lug. The rear grip strap blue is mixed with some light surface rust. The grips are in excellent condition with nice checkering on both grip panels, with light wear across the tops of the checkering. Mechanically excellent. It has matching numbers on the various parts except the magazine, as noted above.
