Excellent WWII Gustloff-Werke bcd Code G43 Semi-Automatic Rifle with Accessories
This is a bcd code G43 rifle that was manufactured by Gustloff-Werke. These rifles were the first true production G43 rifles. They are characterized by the type 1 milled receiver and milled components. It is estimated that only approximately 40,000 of this type were produced with the probability that this model was assembled at the Buchenwald concentration camp under the SS, as noted in "Hitler's Garands". The left side of the receiver is marked with partially visible Waffenampt proof, below that is "bcd" which is the wartime code for Gustloff-Werke, Buchenwald, the serial number and the deep "G43" marking, followed by a Nazi firing proof. The bolt carrier has been renumbered to match and is also the early type 1 milled version similar to the G41 series of rifles and it retains the cocking knob on the left side and the bolt hold open latch on the right side. The receiver still retains the dove tailed scope rail. The action housing is the correct stamped version with the automatic dust cover. The rifle is equipped with a threaded barrel, raised ramp hooded front sight and rear tangent sight graduated to 1200 meters. The stock is laminated and the hand guard walnut, the left side of the buttstock has two Waffenamt proofs and it has a cupped buttplate with compartment. The bolt carrier is numbered 4682l, which has been crossed out and electro-penciled with the matching number 2132. The rifle is complete with a double pebble grain magazine pouch with two extra magazines.
