This is an excellent example of a Mauser Red Nine Military contract Broomhandle pistol with a shoulder stock/holster numbered to the gun. These pistols were manufactured for German Military issue during World War I. Blade front sight and tangent rear sight adjustable to 500 meters. The top of the barrel extension has the standard "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" marking with the serial number on the upper left flat and a crown/N proof on the left flat. The right side of the frame is marked with the large "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A. NECKAR". Matching serial number on the frame, new safety marked hammer, crown/N proofed bolt, barrel extension, and lock frame. Blue finish with niter blue safety, trigger and rear sight. Fitted with groove grips having a large number "9" correctly filled with red paint on both panels. Both grips are numbered to the gun. It is complete with a matching numbered wooden shoulder stock/holster.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with some minor edge wear and some mild thinning on the barrel. 95% of bright nitro blue is remaining on the extractor, safety lever, and tangent sight block. Mechanically excellent. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings near the bottom. The stock is excellent with a few minor dings. The attaching iron retains most of its original blue.
