Excellent WWI DWM 1917 Dated Navy Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol
Issued during WWI, these highly desirable variations of Lugers are seldom encountered in the pristine original condition. Blade front and notch rear sights, adjustable for 100 and 200 meter ranges. The chamber is dated 1917 and so is the left side of the front sight and the left frame rail. The front toggle is marked with the "DWM" scroll. The left side of the barrel extension has the "Crown" proof along with two Crown over "M" Navy proofs. The left side of the barrel also has the single Crown proof and the underside of the barrel has the small Crown over "M" proof. It has a nickel plate magazine body with the Navy wooden bottom base lug with the concentric circles on the ends and is marked with a small Crown over M proof. The pistol has a rust blue finish with "straw" colored small components and checkered walnut grips.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original blue finish remaining, showing some bright edge wear and light spotting and handling marks. Straw colors are both original and bright with 90% plus remaining. Grips are excellent, with mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
