This is an excellent example of a Model 1911A1 Semi-automatic pistol manufactured by the Ithaca Gun Co. in 1943. The receiver feed ramp is bright. The trigger is stamped with a knurled face. The slide stop, safety lock are grooved and the wide spur hammer is checkered. Blue High Standard barrel marked "HS" on the right side of the lug and "P" on the left. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the distinctive Ithaca factory proofmark. The left side of the slide is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. INC./ITHACA, N.Y." and the right side of the frame is marked with the ordnance bomb proof at the rear and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY/No 1455454" behind the slide stop pin and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" ahead of the pin. The left side of the frame is marked with the "FJA" inspection mark and "P" below the magazine release. Standard fixed sights, blue magazine marked "L" on top of the toe and fitted with checkered Keyes Fibre grips with the five point star, with "K" in the center and the number "5".

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original parkerized finish with some mild edge and normal usage wear. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering. 80% of the blue remains on the barrel. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
