Blade front and Buffington rear sights, with the rear of the barrel at the breech marked with the letter "A" on the top and "V / P / eagle head / P" on the upper left. Low-arch breechblock marked "US / MODEL / 1884" and lock plate has the "eagle/shield" motif next to "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD". Smooth straight grip stock with two "U" marked barrel band, sling swivels with stacking swivel, a circled script "P" stamped behind the trigger guard, and a clear script "SWP / 1888" stamped on the left flat. Complete with cleaning rod and a "US" marked blued socket bayonet with scabbard and frog.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning and bayonet wear with some scattered areas of gray on the high points. The breechblock and upper tang retain 98% original case colors. The stock is also excellent with some very scattered minor handling marks. The bayonet retains over 95% original blue finish with some minor wear. Mechanically excellent.
