Excellent U.S. Property Marked Colt Model 1908 Hammerless Pocket Pistol
Produced in 1943, with U.S. property and inspection marks. The United States Government procured 3,128 .380 ACP pistols from Colt during WWII, with end users including Army/ Air Corps general officers, U.S. Naval Intelligence and the Office of Special Services. Serrated front and flat top rear sights, with the right side of the slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS" and the left marked with the two line address/ 1907 and 1903 patent dates with the Rampant Colt trademark behind the slide serrations. The right side of the frame is marked "U.S. PROPERTY", the right side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with a punch-mark that indicates ordnance acceptance and a "64", the left side of the frame is marked with the serial number above the trigger guard, the Colt "VP" triangle proof is on the left side trigger guard bow and the crossed cannon Ordnance mark is on the rear of the frame. Grips are checkered walnut with silver Rampant Colt medallions.

Condition: Excellent, with 99% original blue finish, showing a couple of tiny areas of spotting, a tiny ding on top of the slide and very slight handling marks. The grips are also excellent. Mechanically excellent.
