Produced in 1943, with U.S. property and inspection marks. The United States Government procured 3,128 .380 ACP pistols from Colt during WWII, with end users including Army/Air Corps general officers, U.S. Naval Intelligence and the Office of Special Services. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS" and two line address/patent dates with the Rampant Colt trademark behind the serrations. The right side of the frame is marked "U.S. PROPERTY", the right side of the trigger guard bow is stamped "62", the left side of the frame has the serial number, the Colt "VP" triangle proof is on the left side trigger guard bow and the crossed cannon Ordnance mark is on the rear of the frame. Grips are checkered walnut with silver Rampant Colt medallions and magazine is blue with Colt caliber markings on base. Complete with brown World War II era general officer leather holster, two extra blue magazines with Colt caliber markings on base, and unmarked dual magazine pouch.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% plus original blue finish with some scattered minor scratches. There is some light spotting mostly on the rear of the frame, rear of slide, and grip safety. The grips are also excellent with a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Holster is fine with age cracking and a few minor scuffs. Magazine pouch is very fine with a pin point size hole on the flap and some minor handling marks.
