This example was manufactured in late 1921 and is marked on the muzzle with the star gauge mark, is marked under the hand guard with the star gauge number "0/7293" and is marked behind the standard front sight "SA/flaming bomb/6-22". The rear sight is the National Match style without the 2,850 yard volley notch. The top of the bright J5 bolt has been electro penciled with the matching serial number and there is a headless cocking piece. Mounted on a smooth walnut straight grip stock with grasping grooves, two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "D.A.L." cartouche on the left wrist, a circled "P" proofmark on the bottom of the wrist and a checkered steel buttplate. With a model 1921 front sight cover and a P.J. O'Hare rear sight cover.

Very fine, the barrel retains 98% blue finish with some wear at the muzzle and front sight. The receiver and front barrel band retain 99% of a dark green parkerized finish with some high edge wear. The floor plate and trigger guard retain 95% of a dark gray parkerized finish with some scratches and wear on the trigger guard. The lightly sanded reoiled stock is also very fine with some scattered small chips and dings. Mechanically fine.
