Excellent Simson & Co. Luger Rig with Matching Magazine and 1928 Dated Police Holster

This is an excellent example of a early post-WWI Weimar era Luger pistol rig that was manufactured by the Simson and Co., in Suhl, Germany. This specific pistol has the undated chamber area with the standard Simson & Co./Suhl marked front toggle along with the small "Eagle/6" acceptance proof. This is not a Police model as there are no provisions for the sear and side plate safety. It has the regular military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the small parts and the " Eagle/6" rework proof on many of the small parts. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the small "Eagle 6/33" Simson proofs, along with the single Simson & Co., Eagle firing proof. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small double "Eagle 6" proof sometimes used during reworks, along with the final Simson Eagle firing proof. It has the standard safety and extractor markings along with the standard checkered walnut grips. It has the all rust blue metal finish with straw colored small parts. # Complete with two magazines, both are nickel plated with the aluminum bases marked "Eagle 6/8400/Eagle 6" and "8400/2/+/Eagle 63". It is complete with a 1928 dated black leather holster marked "FRANZ COBAU/BERLIN/1928" on the inside, an early 1934 style cleaning rod inside the flap and an "S/42" marked takedown tool.

Very fine. The pistol retains 90% of the original blue finish with some fading on the rear grip strap and muzzle. The various small parts retain 75% of the straw colors. The grips are very fine showing minor nicks and dings in a few places, and overall crisp checkering. The holster is very good and has nice clear markings, belt loops replaced and the old belt loop holes professionally plugged.
