Manufactured in 1958, this is a beautiful example of an early Second Generation Single Action Army. Barrel has "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left side with the single line address on top of the barrel. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line three patent date marking followed by the un-circled Rampant Colt. The trigger guard is marked on the left with the Colt "VP" triangle proof, the rear is marked "P" and the right front is marked with a "P". The matching serial number is marked on the frame and under the grip on the left side of the front and back straps. The back strap is engraved "KEN SCHEIBEL". Fitted with smooth two-piece walnut grips. Complete with the original black hinged lid box numbered to the gun, bore brush, original waxed paper and papers. The accompanying Colt factory order, (#9973), verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish and wood grips and is on the same invoice.
