Excellent Second Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Original Black Box
Manufactured in 1957. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof, "J" at the rear and "P" on the right front with the loading gate marked with the assembly number "862". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and left side of the front and backstraps under the grips, and is scratched into each grip panel. Fitted with two piece checkered plastic grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Complete with the correct black hinged lid Colt box numbered to the gun.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% of the original blue finish with some minor wear and pitting on the left side, muzzle end of the barrel. There are some minor scratches on the cylinder from cycling the action and some light spotting on the ejector housing. The frame retains 99% original bright case colors with some discoloration on the loading gate. The grips are excellent with some mild handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is excellent.
