Excellent Scarce Smith & Wesson Model 35 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured from 1913 to 1921 with a total production of approximately 8,350, this was Smith & Wesson's first attempt of a semi-automatic pistol. There are two safety devices on the pistol, a revolving cam on the backstrap and a grip safety on the front strap. The top of the frame is marked with the three line address/patent dates flanked by Maltese crosses, the left side of the barrel is marked "35 S&W AUTO CTG.", the left rear of the frame is marked with the S&W Trademark logo and the serial number appears on the front strap. Blade front and frame notch rear sights and seven round detachable magazine.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with a minor ding on the left side of the muzzle, a few minor scratches on the underside of the barrel at the muzzle and some normal usage wear on the sides of the trigger. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dents and handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
