Excellent Scarce Minneapolis Firearms Co. Palm Pistol
The Minneapolis Palm Pistol is smaller than its similar counterpart, the Chicago Palm Pistol. Only seven shots are held in the revolving turret. The center fire cartridge is less than 1/2 inch long. There is no rubber pad on the plunger, the barrel is half octagon and the side plates are checkered black hard rubber. The removable side plates are marked "THE PROTECTOR / MINN. FIRE ARMS CO." on one side and the opposite side is marked "PATENTED / MARCH 6, 1893 **". All numbers match. The system for holding the side plate is different. The Minneapolis has a butterfly key on the frame that fits in a corresponding slot in the plate. The safety on the rear of the frame rotates to engage the pin on the rotating bar, preventing any further advance.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% of the original finish with only a small area of flaking on one side of the barrel at the breech end. The side panels are excellent, having faded to brown and showing only light handling marks and crisp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
