Excellent Remington Model 1890 Single Action Army Revolver
Remington only manufactured approximately 2,000 of the Model 1890 Single Action Army revolvers from 1891 to 1894. The Model 1890 was the successor to the Model 1875 and was intended to be the competitor of the Colt Single Action Army. This model of revolver is the most sought after of all of the Remington produced handguns. The top of the barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." and "44 C.F.W" on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame under the left grip panel. The revolver has a blade front and frame notch rear sights, lanyard stud and ring mounted on the butt and is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the "RA" monogram at the tops.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% plus of the untouched, unpolished, totally original nickel finish with some light wear on the muzzle, some minor flaking on the upper right side edge of the trigger guard, a drag line on the cylinder and some speckled flaking on the frame. The grips are very fine with some wear, some bruising and a few minor scuffs and dents. For the most part, the checkering is crisp. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. A truly exceptional, original example of a very scarce and desirable Remington Model 1890 Single Action Army Revolver.
