Excellent Pre-War Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle With Lyman Micrometer Sight
This is an excellent example of a prewar Winchester Model 70 rifle as manufactured in 1941 that has been fitted with the Lyman WH micrometer rear sight. This rifle has been professionally restored and the consignor notes state that the restoration was performed by "Angelo Bee" a well know and respect Master Engraver. The restoration is top notch and the rifle still retains nice clear sharp markings overall. It has the type I receiver that is correctly clip slotted and has the cloverleaf receiver. It has the earlier style flag safety and bolt shroud. The left side of the barrel has the two line Winchester model and caliber markings and the right side of the barrel has the two line factory address and patent markings. It has the standard ramp front sight and Lyman micrometer rear sight fitted on the left side of the receiver. With the correct factory style pre-war stock with sling swivels and checkering on the pistol grip area and sides of the forend.

Excellent overall with 99% of the current professionally restored finish. The stock is also in the same condition with 99% of the restored varnish with excellent checkering overall. The consignor reports that the rifle was never fired after being restored.
