Excellent Pre-War Mauser Bolt Action Repeating Rifle with Scope
This is a pre-war Mauser sporting rifle with the scarce clip feed action. The left side of the receiver is marked with a crown "U" and "B" proof mark, followed by the serial number and "MAUSER WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N.". The left rear of the barrel is marked "PATRONE 22 LONG RIFLE" directly below the rear sight, with the matching serial number and "459" and crown over "B", "G" and "U" proofs at the breech, and "D.R.P.D.R.G.M." on the right side directly below the rear sight. The top of the receiver is grooved for scope mounting and the rifle is equipped with a Hensoldt 2 1/2x17.5 scope. Hooded ramp blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 200 meters. Mauser marked detachable magazine, serrated trigger, checkered trigger guard and mounted with a one piece round knob pistol with smooth forearm and checkered wrist, Mauser banner stamped on the right side, checkered Mauser buttplate and sling swivels.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original finish with some minor wear and spotting on the muzzle. The scope is very fine with clear optics. The lightly sanded, reoiled stock is very fine with a few overall minor handling marks and dings, and crisp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.
