Excellent Pre-War GECO Model 28 Sporting Bolt Action Rifle with Scope
This is an example of a Albert Genschow & Company (GECO) sporting bolt action rifle manufactured in Hamburg, Germany. The top of the barrel is marked "Original Geco Sportbuchse Mod 28", the top of the chamber is marked with the Geco logo and the right side of the receiver and barrel at the breech is marked with a crown over "B" and "U" proof mark. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the forearm. Ramped blade front and windage and elevation adjustable rear sights, and equipped with a Zieklor 4 scope. Mounted with a one piece smooth pistol grip stock with finger groove forearm, a checkered Geco buttplate and sling swivels. The left side of the stock has a small square brass plaque affixed which is inscribed "Paul Krank".

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish. With the exception of a few scratches/marks on the right side of the barrel ahead of the forearm, there are only light handling marks, some minor muzzle wear and there is a small amount of light spotting on the barrel. The stock is very fine with a few moderate dents and scratches on the forearm, and overall some minor dents and scratches. The scope is excellent with clear optics. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
