Excellent Pre-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Manufactured in 1935. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address and "38 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and the number "4". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the grip straps under the grip. The matching assembly number "380" is marked on the loading gate and right rear of the frame. Blue finish with casehardened frame, niter blue trigger and hammer with polished sides. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original blue finish with some wear on the barrel and high edges, a drag line, a few light scratches on the cylinder, a smooth gray patina on the back strap and the front strap thinning to a smooth gray. The frame retains 90% original case colors. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and handling marks with very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
