Excellent Pre-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Manufactured in 1938. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address and "32 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and the number "4". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, on the right side of the grip straps under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel. The last three digits of the serial number "163" are stamped on the rear face of the cylinder. The matching assembly number "814" is marked on the loading gate and right rear of the frame. Casehardened frame with blue on the remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish with some high edge wear and extremely small areas of flaking on the barrel, a faint cylinder drag line and some thinning on the grip straps. The frame retains 99% original bright case colors. The grips have faded to brown and remain excellent. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. It appears that this excellent prewar Colt Single Action Army saw slight handling only!
