BBL: 4 3/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 45 Long Colt
Finish: blue
Grips: ivory carved eagle medallion
Serial Number: 351897
Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 95% of the original blue and 97% casehardened finish. The blue finish on the backstrap has aged to a plum-colored patina around the inscription, and the finish on the inside of the trigger guard strap is thin. The barrel and cylinder have nearly 98% the original blue finish with only some very minor drag marks on the cylinder. The frame, hammer and loading gate have vivid case colors and almost no finish wear. The ivory grips are very good replacements and have a slight, very mellow age, patina and some very minor hairline age cracks on the butt. All of the revolver markings are crisp. The action is tight and functions perfectly. An excellent example of a presentation, pre-WWII Colt Single Action Army revolver with relief-carved ivory grips and extensive documentation.
