Excellent Pre-War Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured in 1925. The left side of the slide is marked with the elongated two line address/patent dates and the right side is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45" followed by the Rampant Colt. The right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the "VP" triangle proof and "51" on the opposite. Standard blade front and "U" notch rear sight, checkered hammer, slide stop, thumb safety, magazine release and wide spur hammer, lanyard ring on the heel and unmarked blue magazine, and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Refinished. The pistol retains 98% dull brush arsenal style blue finish with some wear on the muzzle end of the slide, some high edge wear and a few minor scratches and handling marks. The grips are fine with some bruising on the right panel, a few minor dings overall and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
