According to the included factory letter, this pistol was shipped on December 26, 1914 to Schoverling, Daly & Gales of New York City. Standard sights on top of the slide, with the two line, two block address on the left side ahead of the Rampant Colt, and "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" on the right. The right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number, with "VP" and "y" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety and smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard ring. The slide stop, thumb safety, and magazine catch are checkered. Fitted with checkered grips and a two-tone magazine with a lanyard ring on the pinned base. With a brown cardboard shipping box hand numbered to gun.

Condition: Excellent, with 95% plus of the original blue finish, showing light scratches from the slide catch on the left side, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with some mild dents on the crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
