Excellent Pre-War Colt Government Model National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured in 1937. Blade custom front sight and large custom fixed notch rear sight on slide with the two line address and patent dates on the left side "NATIONAL MATCH COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE.45" on the right followed by the Rampant Colt, and the serial number on the right side of the frame below "GOVERNMENT MODEL". Barrel marked "M.B." in a circle on the left side of the lug and the slide is numbered to the gun. Wide checkered spur hammer, milled checkered trigger, arched checkered mainspring housing, "P/ VP" on the left side of the trigger guard, 60" on the right. Two tone unmarked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original finish with some minor wear on the muzzle end and high edges of the slide, some minor thinning on the grip safety and a few scattered minor dings, and light scratches. The grips are excellent with a couple of very minor nicks and dings with sharp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Period custom sights added as noted above. Mechanically excellent.
