Excellent Pre-War Colt Government Model National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured in 1941 as established by R.L. Wilson. The matching numbered slide has the two line address/patent date marking stamped on the left side and the right side is stamped "NATIONAL MATCH COLT" followed by "AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .45" followed by a Rampant Colt. The trigger guard is stamped with the letter "T" over a Colt factory "VP" triangle proof on the left side and the number "60" is stamped on the right side. The face of the trigger, wide hammer spur, and arched mainspring housing are checkered. Blue barrel with bright chamber. The pistol is equipped with fixed sights and is fitted with checkered grips. The all blue magazine is marked "COLT/45 AUTO" on the base. The included unidentified "Historical Research Form" confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish with the type of stocks not listed and states that the pistol was shipped to W.S. Darley & Co., Village of Lincolnwood, IL on 7/26/1940.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus original blue finish showing some very scattered minor high edge wear. Some minor scratches are present (mostly on the front grip straps). The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
