Manufactured in 1929. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1903 and 1918 patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN", the left side of the slide "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the front strap and the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "1" over the Colt "VP" triangle proof. Elevation adjustable gold bead front blade and windage adjustable rear sights, smooth trigger, checkered oval panel on the back strap that indicates standard velocity, two tone Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun, manual, test target and brass cleaning rod.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains at least 99% original blue finish with some mild muzzle wear, high edge wear, a few minor scratches on the slide and front strap, and some thinning and minor spotting on the grip straps. The grips are excellent with some very minor wear on the otherwise very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with heavy edge wear on the edges of the lid a couple tape repairs and the lid is slightly collapsed.
