Excellent Post-World War I Colt Single Action Army Revolver
This Colt Single Action Army Revolver was manufactured in 1926. The frame, hammer and loading gate have a color casehardened finish and the barrel, cylinder and other components have a high polish blue finish. The black, two piece checkered hard rubber grips are embossed with an oval that contains the Rampant Colt trademark. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped: "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." in a single line. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped: "32 W.C.F.". The left side of the frame is roll-stamped with the Colt 'three-dates in two-lines' patent markings followed by the third style Rampant Colt trademark with the arc beneath the rear hooves. The left front trigger guard bow is stamped with the assembler's number "3" over the Colt 'Triangle/VP' proofmark. The assembly number, "325" is stamped on the inside of the loading gate. An "F" inspection mark is stamped on the inside of the hammer well above the firing pin hole. The serial number, "348605" is stamped on the bottom of the frame, on the right side of the trigger guard and backstrap underneath the grips and is etched on the inside of both grips. All of the visible serial numbers match.

Stock:
Gauge: 32 WCF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: hard rubber
Serial Number: 348605
Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 85% plus of the original blue finish. Finish loss is limited to some holster wear on the edges of the muzzle, ejector housing and cylinder and handling wear on the trigger guard, grip strap and backstrap. The cylinder has moderate drag marks between the cylinder notches. The frame, hammer and loading gate retain nearly 90% of the original casehardened finish with vivid case colors. The bore is bright. All of the markings are sharp. The grips are in excellent condition with minimal handling wear and no cracks or chips. The action is tight and functions perfectly. This is an excellent example of a 1926-production Colt Single Action Army revolver.
