This is an excellent example of an early 1939 Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with the scarce "Eagle/K" Police proof. It is estimated that in 1939 there were no more than 2,290 total produced. The top of the chamber area is stamped "1939" for the year of manufacture with the Mauser/Banner logo on the front toggle. The scarce early, eagle "K" Police stamp is located on the right side of the receiver, with the commercial "Crown/U" proofmarks stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "7960v" is stamped on the front of the frame, with (7960) stamped on the left side of the barrel extension, and underside of the barrel with the last two digits of the serial number (60) stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This Luger rig is complete with two blue Police magazines that are marked on the aluminum bases "1/7960/v/" and "3/7960/Eagle/C" respectively. It is complete with an original black leather holster that is marked on the back: "OTTO SINDEL/BERLIN/1930/Police Eagle".
