Excellent National Arms Company Number 2 Derringer
Produced during the 1860s. Fixed sights, with "NATIONAL ARMS CO BROOKLYN. N.Y." on top of the barrel. Scroll engraving is present on the barrel and frame, with serrated hammer and trigger, and checkered bird's head grips. Matching "AM 15" assembly numbers on the left side of the backstrap and on the grips, with "1979 JOHN AVRIES" scratched into the right side of the butt and frontstrap under the grip.

Excellent, with 95% of the original silver, showing a patch of brass on the left side, bubbling, flaking and light scratches overall. Strong niter blue is visible on the screws, and bright case colors are visible on the hammer. Grips are very good as freshened, with recut checkering, mild dents and varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
