Manufactured in the 1880s. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates and the left side of the frame below the cylinder is marked "38 CAL.". The complete matching serial number is marked on the heel of the frame, back of the barrel lug and the rear face of the cylinder. Pinned blade front and frame notch rear sights, sliding loading gate and folding hammer marked with the patent date. All nickel finish with a casehardened hammer and trigger, and fitted with checkered black hard rubber grips with the checkerboard at the top. Complete with an extra 3 1/2 inch solid rib barrel, numbered "24597".

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original nickel finish with a few small areas of minor flaking on the left center side of the barrel and rib, and overall some scattered minor dings and scratches. Almost all of the original case colors remain on the protected areas of the trigger, with a smooth dove gray patina on the face. The hammer retains 95% original bright case colors. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The extra barrel is excellent with 98% original nickel, with a small area of flaking on the left side.
