This is an excellent example of a 1935 WWII German Nazi Army "G" date, S/42 code Luger pistol. The top of the chamber area has the single letter "G", which denotes 1935, the year of manufacture. The toggle link has the correct "S/42" code mark and the right side of the barrel extension has the "eagle/ 63" proofs and droop wing eagle firing proof. The right side of the barrel and left side of the breechblock also have the same firing proof. The serial number and bore diameter markings are on the underside of the barrel, with proper "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" markings on the extractor and upper safety position. Matching numbers on the barrel, extension, frame, latch, side plate, sear, safety, toggle links, extractor, trigger, hold open, toggle pin, breechblock and firing pin. Checkered walnut grips, straw finished small parts and nickel plated magazine with matching aluminum base.
