Excellent Martially Inspected Civil War Starr Arms Model 1858 Double Action Revolver
Produced in the 1850's and 60's. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the one line New York address on the left side of the frame below the cylinder and 1856 patent information stamped on the reverse. The serial number is located on the barrel, barrel lug, cylinder, frame in the hammer well, and on the inside of the hammer. "MBH/ 0131340" has been scratched into the frame beneath the cylinder and on the front strap. Single letter inspector marks are stamped on several components. Sliding selector on the front trigger. Smooth, one-piece walnut grips with oval cartouches.

Excellent, with 80% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, strongest on the grip straps and trigger guard, with scattered handling marks and mild edge wear. Grips are excellent, with mild pressure dents concentrated on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
